100,000 Words

Yes, the title of the post says it all. What? It doesn't? Okay, let me elaborate a bit: I've reached the 100,000 word goal after today's edit phase. Yes, I'm down to 100,000 words and there's more still to go.

For me, this is a monumental moment. I never thought I could cut out 40,000 + thousand words. Never say never! Ha! I did it! Woo-hoo . . . and I'm still cutting those words. I hope to cut out close to 3,000 to 5,000 more words before all is said and done.

Good job! That's a huge accomplishment. It always makes you wonder why you needed all those words in the first place. :)

My goal is always around 85k. It's a good number. :D

Way to go - that's a tough feat! I find being forced to pare down words is a great way to make the story stronger and cleaner. Keep it up, you can do it!
