Hey Scott. Wow. I hope you guys keep safe. I hope you don't mind that I quoted the comment you left on my blog by moving it into the post. I had no idea things were so bad in Nashville.

B.J. - thanks. I don't mind at all. I think because of the lack of major coverage, very few people realize how devastating the flood is to Nashville and Middle TN.

Scott, this brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing this. It is only because of you and a few others that I know about this at all, and that's so sad. I'm so glad you are safe and that your property was not devastated. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Lady Glamis - you're welcome. I cried while watching the video. I cry watching the news lately. It's all so overwhelming and just doesn't seem to end. Still, we'll survive, we always survive, and the community is rising up to offer support in whatever way they can . . . which is overwhelming in itself.

This is so sad and overwhelming today. We made a donation through the Red Cross, but it feels like such a small thing to do...

We have relatives there and they sent pictures today. It's just heartbreaking.....

Jemi - sad doesn't really begin to cover this. Every donation, small or not, helps. They were doing a telethon last night on our local station and one kid called in and donated his movie money for the month. Every penny adds up to a bit of help. So, your donation wasn't small, it was very, very, very big.

Betty - it is heartbreaking, it's overwhelming, it's unreal, and the stories just keep coming in. We'll survive. We are surviving. The telethon I mentioned last night raised $1.4 million by the time I went to bed last night, and there was still an hour left of the telethon. Another station has been doing mini-telethons for 45 minutes every evening and have raised quite a bit as well. Life goes on. The people of Middle TN will be a bit weary, a bit ragged for a time, but they'll be stronger in the end.
